Eva Marie Pacheco, PBT Artistic Director, is a Rhode Island native and Director of Providence Ballet Inc. She is on the Dance faculty at Rhode Island College and has been a guest professor at Brown University, Providence College, Roger Williams University, Salve Regina University and Connecticut College. She was a founding member of Festival Ballet under the direction of Christine Hennessy and Winthrop Cory where she had the honor of working with such artists as Rudolf Nureyev, Cynthia Gregory, Agnes de Mille, Arthur Mitchell, Robert Merrill and Roberta Peters. She has since performed with Everett Dance Theatre, Cadence Dance Project, carolsomersDANCE, Connecticut Concert Ballet and Spindle City Ballet. In addition, she performed with Island Moving Company in Newport for 15 seasons. As a choreographer, she created several works for Festival Ballet and IMC. In 2002, she was instrumental in mounting A Newport Nutcracker. She has created works for RI College, Salve Regina University and Providence College. In 2004, Eva Marie founded the Providence Youth Ballet to provide professional performance opportunities for the young people of Rhode Island and it became the inspiration for the creation, in 2008, of Providence Ballet Theatre.

Michael Bolger, originally from Fall River, Massachusetts, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from State University of New York at Purchase. He is a choreographer, dancer, and teacher now living in Providence, Rhode Island. He has been a visiting artist creating works for Rhode Island College, Roger Williams University, Wheaton College, Salve Regina University and St. George’s School. His choreography and site-specific work has been commissioned by the Island Moving Company (IMC) of Newport, Rhode Island , Spindle City Ballet, Providence Ballet and Connecticut Concert Ballet. Michael continues to perform a wide range of contemporary works with the IMC and carolsomersDANCE in Boston, Massachusetts. Past performance credits include Underfoot Dance in New York, PHFFT! Company in France and Cadence Dance Project in Providence Rhode Island. Michael’s teaching credits span universities, companies and dance organizations. He is the Director of Dance Education for the IMC coordinating creative based programs for elementary, middle and high school students. He is currently on faculty at Roger Williams University and RI College. Michael teaches Creative Movement through Ballet II along with Ballet IV/V, Modern II, Modern III and Adult Beginning Ballet at Providence Ballet SOUTH.

Brittany Carr, began her formal dance training at the age of five. She is a Rhode Island native who received her bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College, in both dance and mass media communications with a minor in business management. Brittany has had the honor of working with amazing teachers and choreographers throughout her career, such as Colleen Cavanaugh, Danielle Genest, Clay Taliaferro, Gus Solomons Jr., Lisa Race, Angelica Vassella and Eva Marie Pacheco. Brittany is currently dancing as a company member for Part of the Oath, along with doing various other projects with PBT and Metamorphosis (Ten31 Productions). Along with extensive rehearsals and numerous performances, Brittany is also involved with Part of the Oath's outreach program, Dreams and Themes, at Elizabeth Baldwin School in Pawtucket. She is also a member of the teaching staff for Providence Ballet and Rita Beaulieu Dance and Performing Arts, teaching numerous styles of dance including: lyrical, ballet, jazz, tap.

Angela Cole is a dance artist, choreographer, and teacher based in the Providence and Boston areas. After training in classical ballet as a student, she went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Roger Williams University, where she was the recipient of the Kelli Wicke Davis Outstanding Achievement in Dance Award. Upon graduating, Angela was a 2017 Young Artist in Residence at Bearnstow, Maine, and then performed as a freelance artist and taught dance and fitness classes across Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She has danced for Natalie Johnson Dance in Cambridge, MA and is co-founder of ProviDANCE Project, a contemporary dance collaborative with her artistic partner, Ellen Oliver. Angela currently teaches dance full time throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and she is thrilled to join Providence Ballet Theatre this season.

Elizabeth Gharavi, currently resides in Douglas, MA with her husband and pretty, grey cat. Elizabeth studied with Wayne Stewarte at the Dancing Arts Center and Herci Marsden at the Brae Crest School of Ballet, the official school of The State Ballet of Rhode Island. With SBRI, Elizabeth danced leading roles in Coppelia and Giselle. She has also danced in The Nutcracker with José Mateo’s Ballet Theatre, Swan Lake with The Royal Ballet, and was a guest artist in Spindle City Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Elizabeth joined Providence Ballet Theatre in 2010 dancing roles Sugar Plum Fairy in Twas the Night Before Christmas and Mother in Hansel and Gretel. Currently, Elizabeth teaches Ballet IV to Intermediate Ballet at Providence Ballet and is happy to call PBT home. She would like to thank her family and friends for their continued support, and “all the king’s horses and all the king’s men” who keep her on her toes.

Sara Barney Lustig was born in Providence, Rhode Island and began her studies at Providence Ballet under the direction of Eva Marie Pacheco. She has had the pleasure of working with Providence Ballet Theatre, Island Moving Company, Spindle City Ballet and various freelance choreographers over the years. In 2011 she graduated with a B.F.A. in Contemporary Dance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Sara has had the privilege to perform works by Alonzo King, Merce Cunningham, Mark Morris, Twyla Tharp, Doug Elkins among other great artists. Her training consists of techniques such as Cunningham, Limón, Nikolais along with Composition, Improvisation and Ballet techniques such as the Vaganova Method and ABT’s Pedagogy. After graduation she was awarded the Kenan Fellowship with Lincoln Center Institute which enabled further experience in the field of arts and education alongside LCE Teaching Artists in New York City with grades Pre-K through collegiate level including Special Education and ESL classes. In 2015 she graduated with a M.A. from the London Contemporary Dance School where she had the honor of performing on tour with the University’s collegiate company, EDge, performing works by Ben Wright, Joe Moran, Yael Flexer and Trisha Brown. She has a strong background in teaching Ballet and Modern to all ages and is thrilled to be on faculty at Providence Ballet.
